Description
As we’re leaving the treeline behind us and heading for the summit, we expose ourselves to the elements and become aware of our true being. Only the memory of the forest is keeping you calm. It’s calling you back, back to what you know. But it’s too late. Because you also know that who you are, can only exist here and now.
A celebration of climbing inner mountains, trusting the journey and remembering your essence. An expressive white wine, with great depth and multiple layers to explore. A beautiful journey through vibrant landscapes, that shares freshness and curiosity on its focused path.
100% Solaris being gently pressed, clarified with gravity and separated into three parts.
- One part fermented and raised in old oak barrels.
- One part fermented in an egg-shaped tank.
- One part in a stainless steel tank.
Fermentation is done naturally with indigenous yeast from the vineyard.
After finishing its slow fermentation the wines have been resting on their lees for 18 months, before being blended together by gravity and bottled in July 2022. A microdose of sulfur (10mg/l) was added at blending, to ensure a safe transition between tank and consumer.
Young vines from the north side of the vineyard in Vingården i Klagshamn where the vines stand in a sandy lime-rich soil. Planted 2016. Low yields to encourage vine-balance and fruit quality. Grown without use of pesticide or herbicide. Vegetation kept wild between the rows to invite a diversity of species and encourage the development of a balanced and healthy habitat.
Vines grown without added irrigation and only gentle soil-management to keep the true expression of the site.
REVIEWS
Lively and powerful with pear and white peach fruit, showing nice energy and complexity, with some acid lift. The acid line is warm, sweet and complex. 91/100
-Jamie Goode (Wineanorak)
Lightly cloudy. Spicy, complex aroma, mainly citrus and herbs. Deeply flavoured and with a slight tannic grip to the texture. This is on the ‘low-intervention’ end of the spectrum and deliciously so.
