Each wine is produced in small batches using grapes grown in our regenerative vineyard with minimal intervention allow every bottle to express the character of the vintage and the unique terroir of Österlen.
J.Friberg Winery was founded with a simple philosophy: great wine should begin in the vineyard, not in the cellar. Rather than relying on intensive intervention, we work alongside nature by improving soil health, encouraging biodiversity and cultivating grape varieties suited to Sweden’s cool climate. Every bottle reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability and the unique character of Österlen.
The vineyard was planted in 2009, with 8 different grape varieties. Mainly hybrids.
Our work in the vines is to encourage biodiversity and the holistic balance of the vineyard.
Grapes are guided through a natural fermentation, with only the indigenous yeast of the vineyard.
Each wine shows the unfiltered truth of its origin and a true story of the nordic seasons.
